              Kobus Olivier, well know Cape Town business man, is in fact the founding father of Oggi. I was
          working for Kobus, on one of his developments in Noordhoek back in 1998, when he walked into
       my office with this colourful kids outfit and announced that “Every kid should have one of these and
     we are going to try and make that happen”.

I figured it was time for a change and swopped building plans for patterns. Needless to say, life has not been the same since! What Kobus had picked up was one of the first generation SA sunsuits.

Today these garments have become standard swimwear for kids to protect their skin from the ravages of UV exposure, but back then ... it was a different story.

In the beginning we sold directly to parents through playschools and I can remember at least two suits being returned by fathers who thought this was a ridiculus new fangled idea.

We've come along way since then, thanks to the Cancer Association and a lot of education, the public is now more Sunwize. (see our suntips page for info and links to other sites).

   New products are continually being developed and Oggi has branched out into other arenas, including
       dancewear, gymwear, cycling, surfing, kite boarding, paddling, running and highly specialised items
                  such as cricket and rugby tights.
